Prizes, Props & Giveaways..What's the difference?

They are not all the same.
This part of our site is geared to help customers to understand the difference between prizes, props and giveaways. Whether you purchase your products through our vendors or use one of your own, please take into account the following tips:
- Prizes are items that are given for winners of games or activities that take place during your event. Remember most items that are available through us or another vendor are packaged in sets of twelve. We suggest that if you have more than twelve guests attending, plan on over-buying. (Example: If you have 15 guests and you want them to all go home with something, you would need to order two dozen of each product.)
- Props are what we use to get the party started. Whether it be YMCA hats, signs, limbo poles or hula hoops, these items are used to enhance your party experience. Props, in most cases, are brought out and used, and then returned to the entertainer.
- Giveaways are things that you want to give your guests to take home. They include party hats, leis, sunglasses, maracas, and inflatable. (i.e. guitars, microphones, pianos).
Hint for Moms & Dads: If you decide to include prizes in your event, remember that you won't need goodie bags for the kids; the things they bring home from the games are usually more than enough. However, we highly recommend that handled bags be purchased. These bags should be labeled with each guest's name so that bags don't get mixed up during the festivities.
For your convenience, we have compiled a list of recommended items according to age groups. However, we request that parents provide age appropriate gifts for children under the age of 4.

Just
give them a web site or catalog to browse. They'll know what their friends
would want.

Depending
on the type of affair you are having and who your guests are, you can run
the gamut from conservative to outrageous.
Example:
When games are asked for, such as the Newlywed Game, we make sure all
the participants win something. In this case we recommend going to a wholesale
distributor and purchasing 4 packs of sparkling juice for the players
and the Winners get a REAL bottle of wine.
For
the rowdy groups, the choices are endless!
